Job Purposes:

The Data Manager will work to provide timely, efficient and effective assistance with data based systems, like the School Information System (currently ISIS), ManageBac, Google API. He/She also manages how data is inputted, reported and transferred between systems, then to assist the Director of Learning, Technology Coordinator and/or Network Manager with technical issues and analysis as required.

Duties

  • Maintain and manage SIS systems including integration with other systems and support to users. (Current major systems include ManageBac, Insis, Open Apply, Hapara, Learning Analytics Collaborative, Destiny) 
  • Maintain and manage access and use of database with support to users;
  • Ensure the use of Google API to automate account management
  • Maintain, manage and update website information and Module support to users; Maintain the Family Module (parent portal) by assuring data is synced with school information system
  • Identify additional development of web services e.g. Cloud hosted database.
  • Creating, Managing, Suspending and Deleting accounts in various systems (Google, Media server, Destiny etc)
  • Manage all SMS link lists in clickatell.com
  • Oversee Helpdesk, ISPP Printing, student information system etc
  • Manage special accounts (YouTube, Google Maps, WWW Blogs, Google Photos etc).
  • Creating, Managing, Suspending and Deleting accounts in various systems (Google, Media server, Destiny etc …)
  • Work with IT and Admin Teams to identify new applications to develop
  • Design and prototype applications
  • Seek feedback, revise and document applications
  • Support and train users to use applications developed as needed

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent;
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience, preferably in education sector;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English;
  • Technological awareness and up-to-date knowledge on latest developments in tech-related system;
  • Knowledge and technical skills to manage databases (sql, mySQL, etc.);
  • Be willing to work on weekends, evenings and holidays.
